Requesting App Coverage

Overview

As new apps and features are released, Cato’s App Control and Data Protection coverage may not yet include every app or action your organization uses. You can request additional coverage for a missing app using a form in the CMA. This form gets sent directly to the Cato Research and Development team to give you a direct way to highlight coverage gaps that affect your organization’s visibility, monitoring, or security policies.

In the form, you can request:

  • App Catalog Entry: Add a missing app to the App Catalog or update an existing app. For example, request an update to an app’s GDPR compliance information. For more information, see Using the App Catalog

  • Application Control Enhancement: Add an activity or tenant control for an existing app. This provides additional visibility and control over SaaS application usage in your environment. For more information, see What is Application Control via API with App Activities

  • New Integration: Request support for an app within a specific capability, such as Interconnected Apps

  • Other: Send a general request for coverage

Describe the missing coverage, your organization’s requirements, and the request’s priority. These details help the team understand the impact on your organization and assess your request.

Requesting Coverage for an App

You can open the form to request app coverage from these pages in the CMA:

  • Resources > Integrations

To request coverage for an app:

Understanding the Next Steps Once a Form is Submitted

Once you submit a form in the CMA it is sent to the Cato Research and Development team for review. Any requests for additional information or updates are sent to the email address of the admin who submitted the form.

Cato aims to implement requests for new App Catalog entries and Application Control enhancements within four weeks. Requests for new integrations are handled according to the Request for Enhancement (RFE) process.
